A NEW BOOK BY JOHN ROBINSON

ABOUT AFLOAT
Following the death of his beloved wife Mig in 2008, John suffered a mental break from reality. During his long recovery, he began writing his thoughts in the form of poetry. This collection recalls some aspects of the love and loss that his life has brought him since that fateful day.
Grief is a sacred and unique state of being for each of us who has experienced loss. Moving through time and allowing all the thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations is one of the most loving and gentle things we can do for ourselves. John found relief in writing. We hope his words help you know you’re not alone.
ABOUT JOHN
John has worked most of his life as a carer for people with profound disabilities in Worcestershire, England.
He tragically lost Mig, his lovely wife of 24 years in 2008. Her illness and sudden death triggered a hidden Bipolar condition in him. After years of recovery and healing, he now devotes time working with the Royal College of Psychiatry in London, helping to improve standards.
He married India at Tintern Abbey in 2017, and having fallen in love with the Welsh countryside, they now live in a lovely 300-year-old cottage in mid-Wales. India worked hard editing this book — a painful task at times.
